The English language has the largest number of vocabulary words amongst the other languages of the world. Irrespective of the fact that you are a beginner when it comes to learning English Vocabulary or an ardent speaker of the English language, you will always tend to grow your vocabulary. Each day you will come across millions of new words and even new ways of using or saying the words you already know.
Effective communication in the English language is one of the most important skills that people need to possess in the modern times. However, in order to effectively use English as a medium of communication, having a strong hold on English vocabulary is extremely important.
Not all of us are blessed with a photographic memory! As a student, I tried all my ‘superpowers’ to stare at books with the highest level of concentration; hoping to imprint the information on the canvas of my mind, but it clearly didn’t seem to help! I ultimately would need to resort to something more realistic (but obvious!). It was then that Mnemonics; the memory-tickling phrases and acronyms would come to my rescue! These were the clever tricks which often released me from the pressure of retaining a lot of information.
